(Minghui.org) The CCP's propaganda machine recently launched another smear campaign against Falun Gong practitioners, following up on its most recent attempt to resurrect a decade-old lie of the staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square.
The regime authorities required Chinese people in most public and private enterprises to repeatedly watch self-immolation news programs created by CCTV (China Central Television). The same requirement was given to middle and elementary school students, evidently sowing the seed to brainwash the next generation against Falun Gong.
The most recent smear campaign is stranger and even more comically false than the usual fare from the CCP. It claims that a person with the last name of Sun was arrested for having sexual relations with many women under the guise of “gene transfer and cultivation love,” tied it to the concept of “double cultivation of a man and woman,” and asserted that Sun was a Falun Gong follower.
Alleged Misconduct Specifically Prohibited in Main Falun Gong Teaching
Sun's alleged actions are strictly, specifically prohibited by Falun Gong's teachings, and by that definition alone, Sun cannot be a Falun Gong practitioner. There is no mention of “gene transfer” or “cultivation love” in Falun Gong's teachings, and there is a passage in Zhuan Falun specifically addressing “double cultivation of a man and woman.” It looks like the CCP is dipping into its old bag of tricks—using its media monopoly to make up outright lies and suppressing any rebuttals in China with censorship.
Mr. Li Hongzhi stated that “double cultivation of a man and woman” was part of the Tibetan Tantrism and said in Chapter Five of Zhuan Falun :
“Particularly in our school of Falun Dafa, there is no double cultivation of a man and a woman, and neither do we need it. That is how we look at this issue.”
The propaganda also quoted Sun's derogatory words against Mr. Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Gong. How could a genuine practitioner slander his own Master? If a person denounces Shakyamuni, could he be a genuine Buddhist? Sun is accused of doing something that Falun Gong strictly and explicitly prohibits, and badmouths Falun Gong's founder. Could anyone with full knowledge of the facts possibly believe that he is a Falun Gong practitioner?
These kinds of blatant lies could only work in a place like China, where the CCP has a stranglehold over the media and moves quickly and harshly to suppress anything resembling dissent. Practitioners who exposes the facts are thrown into prison, while the general public is largely kept in the dark by the strict Internet and media censorship. It is only in this context that such blatant lies could be so effective in deceiving the public.
The Facts Are Undeniable
The promiscuity of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials is public knowledge and a running joke for many Chinese people. A study was conducted by Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet & Society on Internet sites blocked in China, where the authors summarized blocked sites in China and grouped them into a number of categories:
• Dissident/democracy sites • Health • Education • News (including the BBC, CNN, Time Magazine, PBS) • Government sites • Taiwanese and Tibetan sites • Entertainment • Religion
The same study noted that only 13.4% of its sample of well-known sexually-explicit sites were blocked. The numbers speak for themselves on the Chinese authorities' priorities, and it is obvious that making a production out of the arrest of this sexual deviant is another thinly veiled attempt to attack Falun Gong.
Falun Gong practitioners are specifically taught to embody Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives. In their private lives, they are very disciplined in terms of sexual relations, and what the CCP alleged is the polar opposite of how a Falun Gong practitioner is expected to behave. Even the most cursory review of Falun Gong's teachings and articles on the Minghui website will point to the same conclusion.
