(Minghui.org) April 25 marked the 15th anniversary of Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful appeal. On the evening of April 24, a dozen police officers and local officials in Fucheng District, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province began monitoring and harassing Mr. Sun Houze, a farmer in Meijiagou Village.
Because Mr. Sun practiced Falun Gong, the CCP sent many officers to abduct this ordinary farmer. Mr. Sun was put in a labor camp and brainwashing center, and forbidden to leave his village to work.
On the evening of April 20, 2014, the head of the Xinzaozhen Police Station, Long Zhengwei, and another officer came to Mr. Sun's home and asked his family where he was.
Half an hour later, Meijiagou Village Party head Tan Degui brought twelve people to Mr. Sun's home. Mr. Sun's family members refused to open the door. Tan ordered his people to surround Mr. Sun's home and threatened to force the door open. Mr. Sun's father opened the door after Mr. Sun left the house. More local officials came, including the head of the village and the head of Xinzaozhen Police Station.
On the night of the 24th, police officers guarded the intersection next to Mr. Sun's home. On the 25th, more police and officials, including the county mayor and Political and Legislative Affairs Committee members, came to Mr. Sun's home to "investigate". Police stayed in Mr. Sun's home until 5 p.m. and continued to guard the road next to his home that evening.
"You Are Not Allowed to Leave the Village"
This was not the first time Mr. Sun had been harassed by the local CCP officials. In 2008, Fucheng District police ransacked the homes of Mr. Sun Houze and his brother Mr. Sun Yi. The two brothers were forced to leave their hometown for more than three years. Afterward Fucheng District 610 Office and local police kept trying to capture the Sun brothers.
On May 23, 2011, Mr. Sun Yi, the older brother who was 39 at the time, returned home to help his parents do farm work. He was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison.
On November 17, 2011, Mr. Sun Houze, 34 at the time, was arrested by Fucheng District police when he was doing electrical work in the village. He was detained at Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City. He was beaten and shocked with electric batons during his detention so severely that he had to be taken to the hospital twice.
On November 3, 2013, when Mr. Sun Houze was on his way to pick up his child from school in the afternoon, he was stopped by Xinzaozhen police and Political and Legislative Affairs Committee members. He was taken to a brainwashing center and forced to write a guarantee letter promising not to go to appeal for Falun Gong. He was detained for nearly a month.
After Mr. Sun was released, local officials and 610 Office members did not stop harassing him:
On the morning of December 10, 2013, heads of Meijiagou Village, Xiao Shigui and Tan Degui, asked around whether Mr. Sun was home. That afternoon several village officers went to Mr. Sun's home to "check on him."
On December 13, Tan Degui and a few others went to Mr. Sun's home. When they did not find him, they took photos of Mr. Sun's mother.
On January 20, 2014, Tan Degui, some local officials and several members from Xinzaozheng Political and Legislative Affairs Committee came to look for Mr. Sun. They told him that he was not allowed to leave the village to work or talk to anyone about the persecution of Falun Gong. They threatened him and said that he would be imprisoned if he were caught. They told Mr. Sun this was a message from the government.
