(Minghui.org) Harbin and Shuangcheng City police arrested and harassed Falun Gong practitioners in May 2014. At least six practitioners were arrested and several had their homes ransacked.
Mr. Pan Mingyue, Ms. Chen Shuli and Ms. Zhang Shuzhi from Xinmin Village in Shuangcheng were arrested at around 7 a.m. on May 8. Ms. Cao Ying managed to escape, but her son and daughter-in-law were arrested and taken to the Shuangcheng Detention Center.
Officers in eight police cars went to Fuzhi Village in Lequn Town on the same day. They ransacked Ms. Li Yueping's home and confiscated four television satellite dishes that can receive uncensored news from abroad, two boxes of Falun Gong books and pictures of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice. Ms. Li's husband was arrested and released later that day.
Police broke down the door of another practitioner's home and ransacked it. They also ransacked the home of a practitioner who was looking after their 10-day-old grandchild.
Practitioner Xu Yan was arrested at around 8 a.m. on May 10, 2014, by officers from the Handian Town Police Station in Shuangcheng.
