(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Guilan went to the Jilin Prison to greet her illegally detained son, Mr. Wang Xiaohu on April 22, 2014, the day he was to be released. However, she was told that he was scheduled to be released the next day. She arrived at 6:00 a.m. the next day, only to find that the local 610 Office had already taken her son into custody.
Ms. Wang was full of sorrow and grief. She asked, “Is there no law? Why don't the authorities treat Falun Gong practitioners according to the law? What right does the610 Office have to do this? Where did they take my son? My son has been imprisoned for ten years. Wasn't that enough?”
Guard Wang Chunyuan and a few police officers searched the bags of the people who were waiting outside of the prison gate for their family members and friends to be released. Ms. Wang was arrested along with three practitioners, whose names are still unknown.
Wang Family Brutally Persecuted for Years
Mr. Wang Xiaodong is the youngest son of the family. He was arrested in 2006, and sentenced to a seven-year prison term. He was detained in the Siping Prison where he was subjected to brutal torture, including electric shocks, force-feeding with gasoline, stretching torture, being tied to the death bed, and severe beatings.

Mr. Wang Xiaohu is the oldest son in the family, and was once sentenced to seven years in prison. He was arrested again on April 23, 2010, less than a year after being released from prison. He was sentenced to a three-year prison term and sent to the Gongzhuling Prison, then transferred to Jilin Prison.
Ms. Wang, nearly 70, was left at home to care for herself. She traveled to the prisons for many years to visit her two sons. She obtained a job washing dishes in a restaurant to earn a living.
After Mr. Wang Xiaodong was released from prison in 2013, officers from the local police station and officials from the residential committee often went to his home to harass him. He had no choice but to leave home.
Officials from the Huadian City 610 Office and Xinhua Police Station officers broke into Ms. Wang's home at around 4:00 a.m. on November 16, 2013. She was arrested and detained at the Shahezi Brainwashing Center. She was forced to watch videos and listen to audio recordings that defamed Falun Gong.
Ms. Wang lost her job and has not had any income since her release from the brainwashing center.
