(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 26 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Two Elderly Practitioners Imprisoned
Mr. Yin Yucai and Mr. Liu Qiusheng, both in their 80s, were taken to the Jingde Town No. 3 Prison on June 24, 2014. They were then secretly transferred to Nanchang Prison. Mr. Yin was taken to the prison hospital for treatment because he became very sick. When his family visited him, they noticed that he was emaciated and his mental state was poor.
Mr. Liu was arrested on January 13, 2014, and sentenced to three years and ten months in prison. His family is not allowed to visit him.
2. [Shanghai] Ms. Gong Naifang Facing Trial
Ms. Gong Naifang is due to stand trial on September 15, 2014.
3. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced
Ms. Wang Haiying, Mr. Liu Zhanyong, and Mr. Chen Weixu were each sentenced to seven years in prison.
4. [Qianguo County, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Chengwen Transferred to Gongzhuling Prison
Mr. Li Chengwen, after being held at the Qianguo County Detention Center for approximately six months, was transferred to the Gongzhuling City Prison in late August 2014. His family was not informed.
5. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Huiqing Arrested
Ms. Liu Huiqing, 56, was arrested by officers from the Qianjin Town Police Station on September 2, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Jiaohe City Detention Center the next day.
6. [Nanping City, Fujian Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Chen Ximei and Ms. Hu Aijiao were arrested at Ms. Chen's home by a dozen officers from the Nanping City 610 Office on September 3, 2014.
The police ransacked Ms. Chen's home and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Chen's 90-year-old paralyzed mother was left on her own.

7. [Meihekou City, Jilin Province] Mr. Pu Aijun Taken to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Pu Aijun was arrested at work on September 2, 2014. He was taken to the Brainwashing Center at the former location of Shuangxing High School in Meihekou City.
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yongmei Arrested
Ms. Li Yongmei was arrested by officers from the Heping District Domestic Security Division in Shenyang City on July 16, 2014. An arrest warrant was issued for her on August 21, 2014. Officers told her family that they had monitored her for two months.
9. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Li Jianhong's Whereabouts Unknown
Mr. Li Jianhong took a train from Lanzhou City to Hangzhou City to work odd jobs on August 20, 2014. However, no one has seen or heard from him in Hangzhou City. His whereabouts is unknown.
10. [Liyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Huang Wenqin Persecuted
Ms. Huang Wenqin, a doctor from the Liyang City Qingan Hospital, was sentenced by the Liyang City Court on April 4, 2014. She was later taken home because she developed severe uremia, acute heart failure, anemia, and an infection of the lungs due to being tortured. On the verge of death several times, she was taken to a hospital by her family for emergency treatment.
However, Dong Xin, director of the Liyang City Health Department; Feng Weimin, director of the 610 Office; and Ma Jianfen, section chief of the Health Department, continued to persecute her. They stopped paying her wages and benefits. Gu Xianzhong, director of the Qingan Hospital, and Jianfen harassed her and her family.

11. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Xiuyun Arrested
Ms. Meng Xiuyun was recently arrested and taken to the Fengnan District Detention Center. Her family was not allowed to visit her.
12. [Chibi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lei Shengping Arrested
Ms. Lei Shengping was arrested on September 3, 2014.
13. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Feng Guiqiu Arrested
Ms. Feng Guiqiu was arrested by officers from the Taihe Police Department in Jinzhou City on the morning of September 3, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police also ransacked her home.
14. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Mr. Dong Zuojie Arrested
Mr. Dong Zuojie was recently arrested for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.
15. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wang Xiuqin, Ms. Jia Yunzhen, and Ms. Zhang Shuhua, all in their 60s, were arrested on the morning of September 3, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

16. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Five Practitioners Put on Trial
Mr. Kim Rong, Ms. Wang Juanxiu, Ms. Kou Qiaoyun, Mr. Li Hua, and Mr. Zeng Zhaohua were tried in the Lianhu District Court at noon on September 3, 2014. The trial lasted three hours. They were all put in fetters and Mr. Zeng was handcuffed.
17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Huiying Arrested
Ms. Li Huiying was arrested and taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center on the morning of September 1, 2014. The police searched her bag.
18. [Linshui County, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Still Detained
Officers from the Linshui County Domestic Security Division arrested 13 practitioners on July 25, 2014. Eight of them--Mr. Bao Zhihua, Mr. Luo Xuefang, Mr. Zhong Dongsheng, Mr. Wang Zhengfeng, Ms. Yang Biying, Ms. Tang Sulan, Ms. Li Kunju, and Ms. Xu Kaiqiong, and Mr. Bao's non-practitioner son--are still being held.
It is said that they are being held in the Guangan Detention Center, the Huaying Detention Center, and the Linshui Detention Center.
