(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held two parades in Hong Kong on July 18-19, 2015 to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China on the 16th anniversary of their peaceful resistance. They also informed the public about the recent flood of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former communist party leader who launched the suppression of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999.
Many Chinese tourists and local residents were encouraged by the progress that has been made in the resistance, and expressed their support of the lawsuits against Jiang.

Many spectators expressed their support for Falun Gong. A 70-year-old gentleman followed the entire parade.
He told the Minghui correspondent: “Falun Gong practitioners are good people. I know very well how corrupt the communist party is. I've watched many Falun Gong parades. Every time I feel happy to see them, and every time I applaud them.”
“The communist party has tried to manipulate some local organizations to interfere with Falun Gong. Actually, their behavior helps people recognize how corrupt the party is, and their interference is sure to backfire,” the senior gentleman said.
Chinese Tourists: “Falun Gong's parade is magnificent”
Many Chinese tourists were touched and shocked by the parade. Mr. Wang and his friends from China had never seen Falun Gong practitioners in public. Mr. Wang kept asking: “Is this parade really allowed here?” When she saw that the Hong Kong police led and protected the parade, Mr. Wang shouted: “It is real! This would be impossible in China.”
They told the Minghui correspondent that the parade had opened their eyes, and that they wanted to learn more about Falun Gong.
Ms. Peng took a lot of pictures and videos of the parade. “I've never seen a Falun Gong parade before. It is really magnificent. I will show the videos to my friends in China.”
“It's great that people in Hong Kong have freedom. The government does not interfere with people's beliefs. I envy them,” said Ms. Peng.
Mr. Chen was happy to see the banners about the lawsuits against Jiang. “He is totally corrupt, and brought many disasters to China when he was in power. He also suppressed people's freedoms,” he said.
Many Chinese tourists also got the chance to quit the communist party with the help of practitioners.
