Ghazal began practicing Falun Gong in 2011, just prior to her 18th birthday. She said, “It was the best birthday gift ever.” When she visited New York in 2015 and learned about the forthcoming “Ride to Freedom” bicycle journey from Los Angeles to Washington, DC, to raise awareness of the persecution in China, and rescue Chinese orphans, she joined, and completed the 3,000 mile ride in July.
The recent flood of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin has not only received massive support from the international community, but is also supported by many Chinese government officials in public and non-official ways. More of them are understanding the goodness of Falun Gong and are speaking out against the persecution.
“She has no hope, even if divine beings come to help,” said a doctor about a patient with advanced uremia whose organs were shutting down. However, what happened in the days that followed convinced family, friends, and hospital staff that faith can still bring miracles.
