(Minghui.org) The practitioners in our area have talked with many people about Falun Gong and the persecution, but due to safety issues, there were times when they could not do this in an open and dignified manner.
However, after practitioners filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese communist regime who launched the persecution, the situation changed. They no longer held any fear when they faced law enforcement department officials.
Released after Talking to Police Officers
Practitioner Ms. Wang (alias) in my city was handing out Falun Gong DVDs during the summer 2015. Someone reported her to the local police and she was arrested.
At the police station, Ms. Wang asked Master for help in her mind and sent forth righteous thoughts to get rid of all her human notions. Without fear, she talked to the police about Falun Gong. She told them that she hoped they would make the right choice with regard to Falun Gong. Ms. Wang was released in a relatively short time.
Government Employees: “We will also practice”
Veteran practitioner Ms. Xing spoke very little unless it had to do with Falun Gong. She quietly talked to people about Falun Gong, sent righteous thoughts, and studied the Falun Gong books diligently.
Government officials and staff from the community center office in her locality visited her home to find out about her criminal complaints against Jiang. She was not home, so the officials complained to her husband and demanded that he control his wife.
Intimidated by the authorities, the husband lost his temper when Ms. Xing returned home. He threatened her with divorce unless she gave up Falun Gong. She explained why she practiced Falun Gong and why it was important to file a criminal complaint against Jiang. Her husband could see that it was reasonable, so he no longer opposed her.
The government officials and community center office staff then talked to the couple's daughter and demanded that she take their side.
Ms. Xing thought that she should not let these people commit crimes again and she ought to let them know the facts about Falun Gong, so she visited their office and chatted with them.
She told them and others in their office how she benefited from practicing Falun Gong. They said, “Since you said how Falun Gong is so good, we think we will also practice it if we get the chance.”
Police Officers Quit the CCP
Ms. Hui successfully mailed her lawsuits against Jiang to the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and the Supreme People’s Court. The local police visited her home in December 2015 to question her about her lawsuits.
She told the officers how she benefited from practicing Falun Gong, as well as about the persecution that she and fellow practitioners had experienced, and how this spiritual practice has spread worldwide.
The police listened without interrupting her and all agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP} and its affiliated organizations.
Ms. Hui also told fellow practitioners that even people who were difficult to come across stopped by to hear the facts about Falun Gong.
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
