(Minghui.org) My husband and I were living in Sichuan Province, and my son and his wife were in Wuhan, Hubei Province. We were getting older, and they thought it would be a good idea for us to live with them. I hesitated because I was not sure that I would be able to find a Fa-study group there. My daughter-in-law said it would not be a problem since she already knew of two women who practiced Falun Dafa in the area.
We moved in with my son and his wife, and I was eager to find a local Fa-study group. I stood in front of Master's photo and asked for help. Master has encouraged us to study together. I did not want to bother my son and his wife, so every day I went out and asked people on the street if they knew of a Fa-study group in the area.
One morning my husband came in to tell me that he had seen a poster about the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. I went out with him to see it and found a woman tearing it down. I asked her why and told her that Jiang should be arrested, as he has committed serious crimes. When my son and daughter-in-law heard what happened, my daughter-in-law told me not to worry. She said she would contact the women she heard were practitioners.
The next day my daughter-in-law came home and told me that one of the ladies moved away, and the other one no longer practiced. I could not help feeling down.
“Please do not be sad,” she said. “I will make more inquiries in the community tomorrow.” I was concerned for her safety, cautioned against it and suggested that I should move back to Sichuan. I know now that that was a human notion.
Master said:
“In genuine cultivation practice one must cultivate one’s own heart and inner self. One should search inside oneself rather than outside.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun)
I worried about my son and his wife. I did not want them to lose their jobs because their mother practiced Falun Dafa. I had a strong attachment of sentimentality.
I spoke to Master, “I am sorry. As a veteran practitioner, I should not have such a strong attachment.” Then I decided to completely remove it.
My son said, “Do not worry! Our whole family has benefited a lot from Falun Dafa! I promise to find a local Fa-study group within two weeks.”
Three days later, with the help of my son, I was connected to two local practitioners, Ms. Zhao and Ms. Xiong. I'd finally found the local Fa-study group.
When I came back from the Fa-study, my daughter-in-law asked me, “How did it go? Were they nice to you?”
“They welcomed me warmly as if I were family!”
“I am happy to hear that; I hope to join your group one day,” she said.
I realized that Master is at our side and knows everything. I will cultivate more diligently, help Master save more sentient beings and return to my true home.
