(Minghui.org) Ms. Cao Liping was home on April 12, 2018 when she heard someone knocking on the door. She saw five police officers outside and didn't open the door.
One man scaled the wall of her courtyard and broke in. Ms. Cao's 11-year-old daughter ran to her own room and shut the door.
Officer Li Weizhong demanded that the young girl come out. He waved a pair of handcuffs and said to Ms. Cao, “I can handcuff you as well!”
Ms. Cao replied, “You're also a parent with a daughter. Please, don't scare my daughter.” She knew Li because he had been involved in her husband's arrest and prosecution.
Her husband, Mr. Liang Jianjun, was arrested on May 25, 2017 and sentenced to five years in prison on December 26 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. His appeal was rejected around February 2018, and he was transferred to Bietou Prison on March 21.
Many more agents arrived at Ms. Cao's house. They turned everything upside down and took her away. Two female officers led Ms. Cao's daughter downstairs, where Huang Xuebin was awaiting.
Huang is the head of the local 610 Office, an extra-legal agency tasked with eradicating Falun Gong and given power to override judicial system.
Huang took the young girl to a police car, inside which sat his deputy Li Genquan and Ms. Cao's sister.
Ms. Cao's sister, who lives a two-hour drive away, had been brought to Lechang County to pick up her niece. It was apparent that the police had planned Ms. Cao's arrest and made arrangements for the child.
It is unclear where Ms. Cao is being held. She was targeted because she has been persistently seeking justice for her husband.
