(Minghui.org) My spouse and I are Falun Dafa practitioners, and our two sons, their wives, and their children all know that Falun Dafa is good. They have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
To support ourselves, my spouse and I opened a small shop, which has been doing very well. It is located on the road leading to the village market – a prime location. My neighbors know that we live by the Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
As practitioners, we do not pursue a lavish life. We are here to assist Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, and to help people understand the goodness of Dafa. Thus, my spouse and I talk to our customers about the practice and the CCP's persecution. After learning the facts about Dafa and the persecution, many have quit the CCP.
We play the Minghui radio music program in the store almost every day. Many customers say they are attracted to the beautiful melodious music. I told one customer that it was music from heaven, and that only those who have a predestined relationship can listen to it.
Distributing Dafa Informational Materials and Calendars
We realize that our customers and suppliers also have a predestined relationship with Falun Dafa, so we give them Dafa informational materials.
During holidays, especially during the Chinese New Year, we hand out calendars with Falun Dafa messages. We have been distributing such calendars since 2004. We include phrases such as “Falun Dafa is Good,” “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good,” and “The World Needs More Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” in the calendars.
Other practitioners have recently started to make the Falun Dafa calendars, which has alleviated the shortages we experienced. We were glad that all our customers get calendars.
A group of workers from Sichuan Province recently came to our town to install high-voltage lines. While they stayed in the village they came to our shop regularly to buy goods, and got to know us well.
About eight of these workers came to our shop one day. The one who looked like the leader asked if they could each have a calendar. I said the calendars were free, but there was only one condition, that they had to quit the CCP and understand that Falun Dafa is a good practice.
They shouted in unison, “We know that Falun Dafa is good.” The leader asked us to help them quit the CCP, and they all quit the Party using their real names.
We hang banners, calligraphy, and Chinese paper-cutting with Falun Dafa messages on the doors, windows, and walls of our house and shop every Chinese New Year.
We have also installed a satellite dish that receives New Tang Dynasty NTD television programming. So anyone who visits us can view messages about Falun Dafa, hear music composed by practitioners, and watch uncensored news from NTD.
Importance of Genuinely Practicing Dafa
My spouse and I have practiced Falun Dafa for almost 20 years, but I just realized the importance of genuinely practicing yesterday.
Master said,
“I hope that both veteran and new practitioners will be able to practice cultivation in Dafa and succeed in it! I hope that after going home everyone will make the best use of his or her time for genuine cultivation practice.” (Zhuan Falun)
Compassionate Master has extended the time for cultivation, waiting for practitioners like me.
I am determined to change the way I do things. I want to truly practice, not use the Fa principles to criticize others, and look inward to find my shortcomings until I reach the Fa standards.
