(Minghui.org) Through two decades of cultivation, Master Li (the founder of Falun Dafa) has helped me eliminate a lot of karma. And from this experience, I have had the opportunity to become a true Dafa practitioner. When I slack off, Master reminds me to be diligent. When I am in danger, Master saves me by eliminating the evil in other dimensions. Breathtaking scenes have often appeared before my eyes. And every time I think of these scenes, my eyes fill with tears. No words can describe my gratitude!
Master Helped Me to Eliminate Karma
I am a 75-year-old retired teacher. I used to fight and compete to improve my status. This stressed me both physically and mentally, and I ended up with many health problems, including heart disease, low blood pressure, hardening of the arteries in the brain, and over a dozen other ailments. However, I was very fortunate to find the Fa and embark upon a new beginning.
Throughout my upbringing, I was indoctrinated with the ideology of communist party culture. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, I led middle and high school students to do things that involved the destruction of traditional culture. I was also indoctrinating other students into the communist party culture, turning pure and innocent children into disrespectful, degenerate human beings who did not believe that good deeds will be rewarded and evil deeds will be punished.
Being a teacher is such a sacred profession, and what I did caused me to accumulate so much karma. I suffered from countless ailments and was unable to work.
A co-worker later came to see me and gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I read a few pages, and immediately Master Li started helping me eliminate karma: I started having symptoms similar to a bad cold, and the pain I felt all over was difficult to bear. When I read to about page 70, I suddenly understood: This is Master helping me eliminate karma and cleansing my body. After three days, my whole body felt light; I no longer felt nauseated, and my chest stopped feeling tight.
I felt profoundly grateful to Master upon experiencing the joy of being illness-free. When I watched his lectures on DVD, tears would just roll down my face. Not only did my physical health improve, my view of the world also underwent a complete change.
I understood that the meaning of life is to return to one’s true self, and that I should take fame, gain, and qing (emotions) lightly and keep an open mind. I started participating in group exercises and started a Fa-study group at my home.
Eliminating Human Notions and Saving More People
A few years ago, there were cases of violence against students and teachers, so security at school was very strict. Strangers were not allowed to enter the school grounds, and the parents picked up and dropped off their children. That made it hard for students and teachers to get to know the truth about Falun Dafa.
During the New Year and summer break, notices were sent to parents that contained negative information about Dafa. Because the teachers did not know the truth about the persecution, they did not protest the misinformation. Even worse, the students listened to what the teachers had to say.
As a practitioner, it was my responsibility to clarify the truth to the students and my fellow teachers to help save them. Since the teachers had time to read during the summer break, a few other practitioners and I decided to deliver flyers to their homes.
The first time I went to give out flyers, I wasn’t needed to distribute them on the higher floors. The younger practitioners knew that my legs hurt and that climbing stairs was a challenge for me. I was only needed to show them the way and to stand on the side and send forth righteous thoughts.
However, I started thinking that these notions of “being old” or “illness and death” were elements that were limited to ordinary human beings. I was a practitioner, so “being old” should not limit me. I was delivering flyers to help save people, and I was walking on the path Master arranged for me. I knew I should get rid of these notions and go upstairs to deliver the flyers.
The next day, I went to an apartment complex to give out flyers. Another practitioner and I finished giving them out very quickly, and although I walked up and down many flights of stairs, my legs didn't hurt and I was not tired at all. It really was as Master said:
“When disciples have ample righteous thoughts,Master has the power to turn back the tide.”(“The Master-Disciple Bond” from Hong Yin Vol. II)
One rainy afternoon, I went to an apartment building where teachers lived to give out flyers. One of the main doors of the building was locked. I immediately started sending forth righteous thoughts and asked Master to open the door because I needed to save those people, too. When I came back later, I found that the door had been opened. I thanked Master and finished giving out the flyers.
Using Different Methods to Save Sentient Beings
Mailing truth-clarification letters to people is a good way to save them and to help end the persecution. After the effort to sue Jiang Zemin started, I noticed that some districts returned the indictments instead of delivering them. In addition, police stations, village committees, city committees, and similar places were harassing the practitioners who'd submitted the lawsuits at their homes.
Our local practitioners thought that even though there were no such disturbances in our district, we should continue to clarify the truth by sending letters to different workplaces so they could understand the persecution. Our local Fa-study groups also sent truth clarification letters to police stations and various governmental committees.
As a result, when the authorities harassed the practitioners who submitted lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, some of those employers did not participate in the harassment and some of them even protected the practitioners.
Later, the authorities began to confiscate letters at the post office. However, the handwritten letters were sent. As a result, when we gathered information from Minghui about who to write to, we hand-wrote our truth-clarification letters to those who were participating in the persecution. At the same time, we also provided the phone numbers of the perpetrators to practitioners so they could reach out to them and help them to be saved.
