A young woman was forced to take a company buy-out and leave home in 2000 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. She was lured back home seven years later after her former employer promised to give her job back. She was seized on her first day at work and died of torture two months later.
A family of four in Jilin Province was dealt yet another blow when the older son died at home alone while his father and brother are serving time for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. The deceased and his mother, who died three years earlier, had both suffered serious health challenges after serving one year of forced labor for their faith in Falun Gong.
