(Minghui.org) The coronavirus outbreak is raging in China, and people are in panic. The lockdown of cities, villages, residential zones and households also cast a shadow over people's worrying souls. My small village in Shandong Province is no exception.
Cooperating Well to Save More People
I was dumbfounded and didn't know what to do when I first learned the severity of the epidemic. I cried thinking of the many sentient beings waiting to be saved by Falun Dafa practitioners.
I live in a remote area, and villages are at least seven or eight kilometers from one another. I'm responsible for the only material production site we have for three villages in our area.
As my skills are limited, I can only print contents in Minghui Weekly and other periodicals published on Minghui.org every week. A fellow practitioner would take them to a spot halfway to another village, where a third practitioner would pick them up for distribution.
However, this chain of delivery was blocked due to the lockdown imposed in our area.
I met with two other practitioners (we are all in our 70s) to discuss what to do. The male practitioner said he would take care of the delivery work: “No matter how the CCP is locking everything down, it can't stop us from saving people or distributing truth-clarification materials to them!”
As we parted, we encouraged each other, “Let's walk well our path of saving sentient beings in the face of the current situation. Let's do our best to save as many people as we can.”
We cooperated well as one body. The male practitioner would pick up the materials in the evening around seven or eight o'clock, cross a mountain, then go through a grove of pine trees to deliver the materials to the designated place. We have managed to provide materials on time every week without any delay.
Saving People with Wisdom
The atmosphere in the village has become very tense, and the CCP blares its orders every day, telling people to stay inside their homes, keep their doors shut, and not to congregate.
If one must go out due to something urgent, he/she must wear a face mask. Temperature checks and disinfections are done frequently, and two patrol teams sweep through the streets at all times to check on people. The whole village feels deserted with hardly anyone on the street.
Given the situation, we began to clarify the truth over the phone.
The other two practitioners called their relatives and friends first, telling them not to panic, but rather to remember to recite the two precious phrases: “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” to keep away from danger.
Their phone calls were largely well received and appreciated.
I first called my son's family of four. I could feel my daughter-in-law’s anxiety when she answered. She kept saying, “Mom, what should we do? If we had known such a thing would happen, we would have stayed in the countryside. No one here cares about us.”
“Don't worry,” I comforted her, “Good people would be spared no matter where they are. No human beings can help us, but Gods can! Do you remember the two phrases I told you to recite when you encounter danger? ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Your whole family should recite these two phrases from your heart because they can keep you away from danger and harm. Remember what I say.”
“I know. I'll remember, Mom. Thank you,” my daughter-in-law said gratefully. (Their whole family had already quit the CCP organizations.)
When I called them the next time, my daughter-in-law sounded a lot more cheerful. “We're all very well, Mom. Please take care of yourself too,” she said.
When I called them the third time, my son smiled and said, “You know what, Mom, your daughter-in-law is reading the book Zhuan Falun,...” I could hear my daughter-in-law giggling nearby. I had given her a copy of the book earlier, but she had not touched it until then.
“That's wonderful,” I said to my son. “You should read the book too and benefit from it.”
“All right, Mom,” my son said happily.
I felt very happy for them because they had chosen to believe in Dafa at this critical moment.
Now that my family members had all learned the truth, what about the people in my village? I remembered Master's teachings:
“Dafa disciples are humankind's only hope for salvation.”(“To the Fa Conference of Europe”)
“Lose no time and save them,hurry up and tell them”(“Hurry Up And Tell Them” from Hong Yin II)
I thought to myself: I must have strong righteous thoughts and save more people.
I searched on the Minghui website and found some very beautiful truth-clarification cards. I downloaded and printed out a few. I said to Master in my heart, “Master, I'm going out to save people now. Please strengthen me.”
There was no one on the street. I quickly walked to my neighbor's house. They were nervous about the coronavirus. I gave them a card and said, “This is what can save people. You'll know what to do after reading it.” I also told them to recite the two auspicious phrases for protection from harm. They nodded and thanked me.
I didn't stay long and got back home quickly. I then went to another household. It was a bit far from my place. I knocked at their back window, and the hostess asked nervously, “Who is this?”
“It's me. Open the window quickly,” I said to her.
She opened the window, and I handed her a truth-clarification card. Her husband came over, too, looking anxious.
“Don't worry,” I comforted him.
“Who wouldn't be scared at the moment?!” he said.
“Where did you put the Falun Dafa keepsakes I gave you earlier? Keep them with you at all times,” I said to him.
“They’re right here,” he said and took out the amulets from a book. He was so emotional that his hands shook. As they each carefully put a Falun Dafa amulet in their wallet, the husband said, “Thank you. We now have a way to be saved!”
I told them to remember to recite the two phrases with sincerity and to read the materials I had given them. They both said they certainly would.
When I got back home, I put my hands together in front of Master's portrait and thanked Master for strengthening me.
I took every possible opportunity to go to villagers' homes to give them truth-clarification materials and told everyone I came across to recite “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Most people believed what I told them.
When a villager who had been assigned to do disinfection work came to my house, I thanked him for what he was doing and told him to recite the two precious phrases. “If you keep reciting them from the bottom of your heart, you will be safe from danger,” I said. He kept nodding, and I could see sincere gratitude in his eyes.
Of course, there are also people who did not believe what I said no matter how hard I tried to convince them. I feel sad for them, but everyone makes his/her own choice.
Whenever I have a bit more time when talking to people, I would also expose the lies told by the CCP in relation to their cover-up of the death toll and the number of infected people, as well as the subsequent disastrous impact upon humanity as a whole.
One villager kept asking me for more truth-clarification materials, saying, “The CCP is so evil! We shouldn’t trust it anymore. I love reading the materials you gave us. Do you have any more?” I told him I didn't but would try to get some for him later. In the evening, I made a package of materials and handed it to a practitioner to pass on to him.
Concluding Remarks
I've had some deep thoughts and feelings recently. Sentient beings are waiting for us to save them, but we have not done well enough in this respect.
I have realized from my own experience that as long as we take on our responsibilities to sentient beings and do what we should do with a pure heart, Master will strengthen and encourage us.
I also feel deeply that sentient beings are awakening with Master's help. I feel Master is right beside me and I can feel his boundless compassion. Thank you, Master, for your compassionate salvation of all sentient beings!
There are still things I have not done well, and I will continue to improve myself.
