(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday July 31 2011, Falun Dafa practitioners in central Japan participated in “The Summer Festival of Inazawa” in Aichi County.
The Falun Gong booth had pictures of Falun Gong being practiced all over the world. Many people took the contact information of free exercise teaching and some wanted to learn the exercise on site.
Mr. Kondo, who is learning the Chinese language, and Mr. Ameda both are in their 70's. They are very interested in Falun Gong and learned the five sets of exercises at the booth.
Mr. Kondo said he had learned Taichi and some other Qigong exercises. He felt Falun Gong is very smooth and is suitable for older people as well as children. During the break between the exercises, he asked a practitioner why Falun Gong is persecuted in mainland China. The practitioner told him that Falun Gong teaches people to follow “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” to be a good and better person. It also has outstanding healing effects to improve health. After it was introduced to the public in 1992, the number of practitioners grew to 100 million in China in seven years--a number greater than that of Communist Party. In China, the Communist Party could not tolerate so many people following the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, so the then party leader Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. Mr. Kondo said, “Oh, that is the truth!” Before he left, he borrowed the book Zhuan Falun in Japanese from a practitioner.
Mr. Ameda had read Zhuan Falun in Japanese before and liked it very much. After he learned the five sets of exercises, he suggested introducing the exercises at senior citizens' clubs, where it would be welcomed.
During the festival, the practitioners also met some Chinese students. Two of them were from Shandong Province. The practitioners talked to them about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the wave of over 100 million Chinese people who have withdrawn from the Communist Party, Youth League and Young Pioneer organizations. They had been Young Pioneers and said they would consider publicly announcing their withdrawal from the organization, but they would do more research online first.
Inazawa City has a population of 130,000. Besides the traditional rice-growing and gardening, it also has factories for Mitsubishi and Sony. The Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the event to clarify the truth to more people in hopes they can have a bright future.
